  1. Samuel before the Lord as a Boy

    Now Samuel was ministering before the Lord, as a boy wearing a linen ephod.
  2. Did I not choose them from all the tribes of Israel to be My priests, to go up to My altar, to burn incense, to carry an ephod before Me? And did I not give to the house of your father all the fire offerings of the sons of Israel?

  6. Now it came about, when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David at Keilah, that he came down with an ephod in his hand.
  7. But David knew that Saul was plotting evil against him; so he said to Abiathar the priest, “Bring the ephod here.”
  8. Then David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, “Please bring me the ephod.” So Abiathar brought the ephod to David.
