  7. Now then, stand here, because I am going to confront you with evidence before the Lord as to all the righteous acts performed by the Lord for you and your ancestors.
  8. As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right.
  9. Jonathan climbed up, using his hands and feet, with his armor-bearer right behind him. The Philistines fell before Jonathan, and his armor-bearer followed and killed behind him.
  10. “You are more righteous than I,” he said. “You have treated me well, but I have treated you badly.
  11. The Lord rewards everyone for their righteousness and faithfulness. The Lord delivered you into my hands today, but I would not lay a hand on the Lord’s anointed.
