  17. and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail.
  18. Limitations of the Earthly Service

    Now when these things had been thus prepared, the priests always went into the first part of the tabernacle, performing the services.
  19. The Heavenly Sanctuary

    But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.
  20. And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
  21. Greatness of Christ’s Sacrifice

    Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
  22. Animal Sacrifices Insufficient

    For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect.
  23. By Faith We Understand

    Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
  24. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
  25. By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
