    Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
  2. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
  3. and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us, when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels
  4. in flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who do not know God, and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

    Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, regarding the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him,
  7. It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  8. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace,
  9. Now we command you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from every brother or sister who leads a disorderly life and not one in accordance with the tradition which you received from us.
  10. Now we command and exhort such persons in the Lord Jesus Christ to work peacefully and eat their own bread.
  11. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
