    Now it came about after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ servant, saying,
  2. Anyone who rebels against your command and does not obey your words in all that you command him, shall be put to death; only be strong and courageous.”
  3. and spare my father and my mother, and my brothers and my sisters, and all who belong to them, and save our lives from death.”
  4. So afterward Joshua struck them and put them to death, and he hanged them on five trees; and they were hung on the trees until evening.
  5. from Mount Halak, that rises toward Seir, even as far as Baal-gad in the Valley of Lebanon at the foot of Mount Hermon. And he captured all their kings, and struck them and put them to death.
  6. And he shall remain in that city until he stands before the congregation for judgment, until the death of the one who is high priest in those days. Then he shall return to his own city and to his own house, to the city from which he fled.’”

    Now it came about after these things that Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died, being 110 years old.
