  1. Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
  2. Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations—
  3. These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.

  10. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
  11. The Christian Home

    Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
  12. Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God.
  13. knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
  14. meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains,
  15. that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
  16. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
  17. Final Greetings

    Tychicus, a beloved brother, faithful minister, and fellow servant in the Lord, will tell you all the news about me.
  18. I am sending him to you for this very purpose, that he may know your circumstances and comfort your hearts,
  19. Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
  20. Closing Exhortations and Blessing

    Now when this epistle is read among you, see that it is read also in the church of the Laodiceans, and that you likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.
  21. And say to Archippus, “Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.”
  22. This salutation by my own hand—Paul. Remember my chains. Grace be with you. Amen.
