Spiritual Blessings in Christ
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,
-
In him you also, when you had heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and had believed in him, were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit;
-
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him,
-
in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work among those who are disobedient.
-
for through him both of us have access in one Spirit to the Father.
-
in whom you also are built together spiritually into a dwelling place for God.
-
In former generations this mystery was not made known to humankind, as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit:
-
I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit
-
making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace:
-
there is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling,
-
and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
-
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with which you were marked with a seal for the day of redemption.
-
Do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,
-
as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to one another, singing and making melody to the Lord in your hearts,
-
for our struggle is not against blood and flesh but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
-
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
-
Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the saints.
