  11. Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was given through angels and entrusted to a mediator.
  12. Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law.
  13. But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
  14. So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith,
  15. for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
  16. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
  17. But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?
  18. Where, then, is your blessing of me now? I can testify that, if you could have done so, you would have torn out your eyes and given them to me.
  19. Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all.
  20. Doing Good to All

    Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.
  21. Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.
  22. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
  23. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
  24. Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule—to the Israel of God.
