  3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
  4. For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.
  5. For the Son of God, Christ Jesus, who was preached among you by us—by me and Silvanus and Timothy—was not yes and no, but has been yes in Him.
  6. Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God,
  7. But one whom you forgive anything, I also forgive; for indeed what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, I did so for your sakes in the presence of Christ,
  8. Now when I came to Troas for the gospel of Christ and when a door was opened for me in the Lord,
  9. But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us reveals the fragrance of the knowledge of Him in every place.
  10. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing:
  11. For we are not like the many, peddling the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God.

  17. For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
  18. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive compensation for his deeds done through the body, in accordance with what he has done, whether good or bad.
  19. For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died;
  20. Therefore from now on we recognize no one by the flesh; even though we have known Christ by the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.
  21. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
  22. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,
  23. namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their wrongdoings against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
  24. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
  25. Or what harmony does Christ have with Belial, or what does a believer share with an unbeliever?
