  1. A Church Divided Over Leaders

    I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.

  14. If I fought wild beasts in Ephesus with no more than human hopes, what have I gained? If the dead are not raised, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.”
  15. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
  16. Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve and send them with your gift to Jerusalem.
  17. If anyone does not love the Lord, let that person be cursed! Come, Lord!
