  1. Divisions in the Church

    I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.
  2. Do I say these things on human authority? Does not the Law say the same?
  3. In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.
  4. and all ate the same spiritual food,
  5. and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ.
  6. but every wife who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, since it is the same as if her head were shaven.
  7. In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
  8. Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;
  9. and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord;
  10. and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.
  11. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit,
  12. to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,
  13. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.
  14. that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.
  15. For not all flesh is the same, but there is one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish.
