  1. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority as apostles to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name.
  2. He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers.
  3. But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile.
  4. “But,” someone might still argue, “how can God condemn me as a sinner if my dishonesty highlights his truthfulness and brings him more glory?”
  5. Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.
  6. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.
  7. When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God.
  8. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.
  9. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.
  10. The Future Glory

    Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.
  11. And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us.
  12. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.
  13. They are the people of Israel, chosen to be God’s adopted children. God revealed his glory to them. He made covenants with them and gave them his law. He gave them the privilege of worshiping him and receiving his wonderful promises.
  14. He does this to make the riches of his glory shine even brighter on those to whom he shows mercy, who were prepared in advance for glory.
  15. For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen.
  16. Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  17. Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.
  18. He also came so that the Gentiles might give glory to God for his mercies to them. That is what the psalmist meant when he wrote: “For this, I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing praises to your name.”
  19. Now all glory to God, who is able to make you strong, just as my Good News says. This message about Jesus Christ has revealed his plan for you Gentiles, a plan kept secret from the beginning of time.
  20. All glory to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, forever. Amen.
