  1. Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God—
  2. and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.
  3. And you also are among those Gentiles who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.
  4. To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be his holy people: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
  5. Paul’s Longing to Visit Rome

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world.
  6. This will take place on the day when God judges people’s secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.
  7. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile,
  8. and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
  9. he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
  10. but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.
  11. Peace and Hope

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
  12. Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
  13. But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!
  14. For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!
  15. so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
  16. Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
  17. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
  18. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  19. Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.
  20. Life Through the Spirit

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
  21. because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
  22. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
  23. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
  24. neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  25. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
  26. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.
  27. I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean.
  28. May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had,
  29. so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  30. to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles. He gave me the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
  31. Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God.
  32. I urge you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me.
  33. Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my co-workers in Christ Jesus.
  34. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
  35. Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past,
  36. to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.
