  1. For I am not ashamed of the gospel. It is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: for Jew first, and then Greek.

  11. for, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
  12. For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
  13. For the scripture says, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.”
  14. But how can they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach?
  15. But not everyone has heeded the good news; for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what was heard from us?”
  16. And do this because you know the time; it is the hour now for you to awake from sleep. For our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed;
  17. One person believes that one may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables.
