  1. When Peter saw this, he said to them: “Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?

  8. But other Jews were jealous; so they rounded up some bad characters from the marketplace, formed a mob and started a riot in the city. They rushed to Jason’s house in search of Paul and Silas in order to bring them out to the crowd.
  9. After this, we started on our way up to Jerusalem.
  10. “Aren’t you the Egyptian who started a revolt and led four thousand terrorists out into the wilderness some time ago?”
  11. When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved.
