  13. So Jesus said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me.

  23. For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment—what to say and what to speak.
  24. Jesus Washes the Disciples' Feet

    Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
  25. Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.
  26. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

  33. and he went out, bearing his own cross, to the place called The Place of a Skull, which in Aramaic is called Golgotha.
  34. Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.
