Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me will live, even though they die.

Jesus said, “Remove the stone.” Martha, the sister of the dead man, said, “Lord, the smell will be awful! He’s been dead four days.”

The dead man came out, his feet bound and his hands tied, and his face covered with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Untie him and let him go.”

Then Jesus said, “Leave her alone. This perfume was to be used in preparation for my burial, and this is how she has used it.

As long as you have the light, believe in the light so that you might become people whose lives are determined by the light.” After Jesus said these things, he went away and hid from them.

No one sitting at the table understood why Jesus said this to him.

Love commandment

When Judas was gone, Jesus said, “Now the Human One has been glorified, and God has been glorified in him.

After this, knowing that everything was already completed, in order to fulfill the scripture, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.”

When he had received the sour wine, Jesus said, “It is completed.” Bowing his head, he gave up his life.

Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who are you looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she replied, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him and I will get him.”

Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and said to him in Aramaic, “Rabbouni” (which means Teacher).

Jesus said to her, “Don’t hold on to me, for I haven’t yet gone up to my Father. Go to my brothers and sisters and tell them, ‘I’m going up to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father sent me, so I am sending you.”

Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you’ve just caught.”

Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples could bring themselves to ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord.

Jesus and Peter

When they finished eating, Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” Simon replied, “Yes, Lord, you know I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my lambs.”

Jesus asked a second time, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Simon replied, “Yes, Lord, you know I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Take care of my sheep.”

He asked a third time, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was sad that Jesus asked him a third time, “Do you love me?” He replied, “Lord, you know everything; you know I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.

He said this to show the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. After saying this, Jesus said to Peter, “Follow me.”
