    These are the words Moses spoke to all Israel in the wilderness east of the Jordan—that is, in the Arabah—opposite Suph, between Paran and Tophel, Laban, Hazeroth and Dizahab.

  16. “Cursed is anyone who does not uphold the words of this law by carrying them out.” Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”
  17. If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome name—the Lord your God—
  18. When such a person hears the words of this oath and they invoke a blessing on themselves, thinking, “I will be safe, even though I persist in going my own way,” they will bring disaster on the watered land as well as the dry.
  19. The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.
  20. No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.
  21. Joshua to Succeed Moses

    Then Moses went out and spoke these words to all Israel:
  22. Assemble the people—men, women and children, and the foreigners residing in your towns—so they can listen and learn to fear the Lord your God and follow carefully all the words of this law.
