Jesus Sends Out the Twelve Disciples

They demanded, “By what authority are you doing all these things? Who gave you the right?”

“Did John’s authority to baptize come from heaven, or was it merely human?”

And Jesus responded, “Then I won’t tell you by what authority I do these things.”

It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’
