  1. Jesus Is Lord of the Sabbath

    Now it happened that Jesus was passing through some grainfields on a Sabbath, and His disciples were picking the heads of grain, rubbing them in their hands, and eating them.
  2. And Jesus, answering them, said, “Have you not even read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him,
  3. And Jesus said to them, “I ask you whether it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do harm, to save a life or to destroy it?”

  7. When he heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to Him, asking Him to come and save the life of his slave.
  8. When they came to Jesus, they strongly urged Him, saying, “He is worthy for You to grant this to him;
  9. Now Jesus started on His way with them; but already, when He was not yet far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself further, for I am not worthy for You to enter under my roof;
  10. Now when Jesus heard this, He was amazed at him, and turned and said to the crowd that was following Him, “I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith.”
  11. Soon afterward Jesus went to a city called Nain; and His disciples were going along with Him, accompanied by a large crowd.
  12. And the dead man sat up and began to speak. And Jesus gave him back to his mother.

  18. And Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion”; because many demons had entered him.
  19. And the people came out to see what had happened; and they came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting down at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind; and they became frightened.
  20. But the man from whom the demons had gone out was begging Him that he might accompany Him; but Jesus sent him away, saying,
  21. “Return to your home and describe what great things God has done for you.” So he went away, proclaiming throughout the city what great things Jesus had done for him.
  22. Miracles of Healing

    And as Jesus was returning, the people welcomed Him, for they had all been waiting for Him.
  23. And a man named Jairus came, and he was an official of the synagogue; and he fell at Jesus’ feet, and began urging Him to come to his house;
  24. And Jesus said, “Who is the one who touched Me?” And while they were all denying it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing in on You.”
  25. But Jesus said, “Someone did touch Me, for I was aware that power had left Me.”
