  1. And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;

  11. And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
  12. He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
  13. Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.
  14. And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.
  15. Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.
  16. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
  17. And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?
  18. The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
  19. And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
  20. Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no?
  21. And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
