And he sent another servant. But they also beat and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty-handed.

And he sent yet a third. This one also they wounded and cast out.

So they watched him and sent spies, who pretended to be sincere, that they might catch him in something he said, so as to deliver him up to the authority and jurisdiction of the governor.

So Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat it.”

Scripture Must Be Fulfilled in Jesus

And he said to them, “When I sent you out with no money bag or knapsack or sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.”

And when he learned that he belonged to Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him over to Herod, who was himself in Jerusalem at that time.

And Herod with his soldiers treated him with contempt and mocked him. Then, arraying him in splendid clothing, he sent him back to Pilate.

Neither did Herod, for he sent him back to us. Look, nothing deserving death has been done by him.

But the other rebuked him, saying, “Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?
