  1. Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.

  9. At this, the man’s ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly.
  10. Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.
  11. Now about the dead rising—have you not read in the Book of Moses, in the account of the burning bush, how God said to him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?
  12. The Widow’s Offering

    Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts.
  13. As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked him privately,
  14. They were delighted to hear this and promised to give him money. So he watched for an opportunity to hand him over.
