  1. Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out,

    At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to Him all who were sick and those who were demon-possessed.
  3. Then He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him.
  4. Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them.
  5. “Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

  8. And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.
  9. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”
  10. Healing on the Sabbath

    And He entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a withered hand.
  11. And He said to the man who had the withered hand, “Step forward.”
  12. And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.
  13. and Jerusalem and Idumea and beyond the Jordan; and those from Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they heard how many things He was doing, came to Him.
  14. For He healed many, so that as many as had afflictions pressed about Him to touch Him.
  15. No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house.
  16. Then He taught them many things by parables, and said to them in His teaching:

  21. For He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!”
  22. Then He asked him, “What is your name?” And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.”
  23. and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.
  24. And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, “Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands!
  25. And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them.
