  1. With God All Things Are Possible

    Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!”
  2. And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God!
  3. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
  4. But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”
  5. So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.

  7. And Jesus answered and said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And they marveled at Him.
  8. Jesus answered and said to them, “Are you not therefore mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God?
  9. But concerning the dead, that they rise, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the burning bush passage, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?
  10. He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. You are therefore greatly mistaken.”
  11. Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
  12. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
  13. So the scribe said to Him, “Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He.
  14. Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” But after that no one dared question Him.
  15. For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be.
  16. Assuredly, I say to you, I will no longer drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”
  17. And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
  18. So when the centurion, who stood opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said, “Truly this Man was the Son of God!”
  19. Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent council member, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, coming and taking courage, went in to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.
  20. Christ Ascends to God’s Right Hand

    So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
