Jesus gave them permission. And coming out, the unclean spirits entered the pigs; and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea, about two thousand of them; and they were drowned in the sea.

And then they *came to Jesus and *saw the man who had been demon-possessed sitting down, clothed and in his right mind, the very man who had previously had the “legion”; and they became frightened.

And he went away and began to proclaim in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed.

When Jesus had crossed over again in the boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around Him; and He stayed by the seashore.

Jesus went out from there and *came into His hometown; and His disciples *followed Him.

The apostles *gathered together with Jesus; and they reported to Him all that they had done and taught.

When Jesus went ashore, He saw a large crowd, and He felt compassion for them because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things.

Jesus Walks on the Water
And immediately Jesus had His disciples get into the boat and go ahead of Him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while He Himself *dismissed the crowd.

Now Jesus got up and went from there to the region of Tyre. And when He had entered a house, He wanted no one to know about it; and yet He could not escape notice.

And Jesus took him aside from the crowd, by himself, and put His fingers in his ears, and after spitting, He touched his tongue with the saliva;

Four Thousand Men Fed
In those days, when there was again a large crowd and they had nothing to eat, Jesus summoned His disciples and *said to them,

And Jesus, aware of this, *said to them, “Why are you discussing the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet comprehend or understand? Do you still have your heart hardened?

And they *came to Bethsaida. And some people *brought a man who was blind to Jesus and *begged Him to touch him.

Jesus went out, along with His disciples, to the villages of Caesarea Philippi; and on the way He questioned His disciples, saying to them, “Who do people say that I am?”

And Jesus was saying to them, “Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God when it has come with power.”

And six days later Jesus *took with Him Peter, James, and John, and *brought them up on a high mountain by themselves. And He was transfigured before them;

And Elijah appeared to them along with Moses; and they were talking with Jesus.

Peter responded and *said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good that we are here; let’s make three tabernacles, one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

And suddenly they looked around and saw no one with them anymore, except Jesus alone.

But Jesus said to him, “‘If You can?’ All things are possible for the one who believes.”

When Jesus saw that a crowd was rapidly gathering, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and do not enter him again!”
