  1. And they were all amazed, so they debated among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”

  7. And he got up and immediately picked up the pallet and went out in the sight of everyone, so that they were all amazed and were glorifying God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”
  8. So the Son of Man is Lord, even of the Sabbath.”
  9. and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea, and beyond the Jordan, and the vicinity of Tyre and Sidon, a great number of people heard about everything that He was doing and came to Him.
  10. And He *came home, and the crowd *gathered again, to such an extent that they could not even eat a meal.
  11. And He was saying to them, “To you has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God, but for those who are outside, everything comes in parables,
  12. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”
  13. and He did not speak to them without a parable; but He was explaining everything privately to His own disciples.
  14. Jesus Stills the Sea

    On that day, when evening came, He *said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side.”
  15. They became very much afraid and said to one another, “Who, then, is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”
  16. He lived among the tombs; and no one was able to bind him anymore, not even with a chain,
  17. And he went away and began to proclaim in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed.
  18. And He *said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a little while.” (For there were many people coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.)
  19. When it was evening, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and He was alone on the land.
  20. But she answered and *said to Him, “Yes, Lord, but even the dogs under the table feed on the children’s crumbs.”
  21. And they were utterly astonished, saying, “He has done all things well; He makes even those who are deaf hear, and those who are unable to talk, speak.”
  22. Then again He laid His hands on his eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and began to see everything clearly.
  23. And He sent him to his home, saying, “Do not even enter the village.”
  24. For everyone will be salted with fire.
  25. And they were even more astonished, and said to Him, “Then who can be saved?”
