  1. Jesus Prays in a Solitary Place

    Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
  2. But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the man,
  3. Then Jesus said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”
  4. If anyone has ears to hear, let them hear.”

  13. Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.
  14. Jesus Before Pilate

    Very early in the morning, the chief priests, with the elders, the teachers of the law and the whole Sanhedrin, made their plans. So they bound Jesus, led him away and handed him over to Pilate.
