The Genealogy of Jesus Christ
The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham:
-
And after coming into the house they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground and worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
-
And after being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming upon Him,
-
And He opened His mouth and began to teach them, saying,
-
Make friends quickly with your opponent at law while you are with him on the way, so that your opponent may not hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.
-
Ask, and It Will Be Given
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
-
For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
-
And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “See that no one knows about this!”
-
so that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, “I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden since the foundation of the world.”
-
And Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, I will make three booths here, one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
-
However, so that we do not offend them, go to the sea and throw in a hook, and take the first fish that comes up; and when you open its mouth, you will find a stater. Take that and give it to them for Me and you.”
-
They *said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes be opened.”
-
saying to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied there and a colt with her; untie them and bring them to Me.
-
And later the other virgins also *came, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’
-
And from then on he began looking for a good opportunity to betray Jesus.
-
And the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;
-
And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the grave.
-
And immediately coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens opening, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon Him;
-
And being unable to bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, they removed the roof over where He was; and when they had dug an opening, they let down the mat where the paralytic was lying.
-
and looking up to heaven with a sigh, He *said to him, “Ephphatha!” that is, “Be opened!”
-
And his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was removed, and he began speaking plainly.
-
And He was stating the matter openly. And Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him.
-
And Peter answered and *said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; let us make three booths, one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
-
and *said to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, on which no one yet has ever sat; untie it and bring it here.

But regarding the fact that the dead are raised, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the burning bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?
