  1. Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away;
  2. but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory;

  19. Wisdom from Above

    Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.
  20. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic.
  21. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy.
  22. and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you,
  23. saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slaughtered to receive power, wealth, wisdom, might, honor, glory, and blessing.”
  24. saying, “Amen, blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might belong to our God forever and ever. Amen.”
  25. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.
