  1. And He gave him the covenant of circumcision; and so Abraham fathered Isaac, and circumcised him on the eighth day; and Isaac fathered Jacob, and Jacob, the twelve patriarchs.

  11. (for He who was at work for Peter in his apostleship to the circumcised was at work for me also to the Gentiles),
  12. and recognizing the grace that had been given to me, James and Cephas and John, who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, so that we might go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised.
  13. Look! I, Paul, tell you that if you have yourselves circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you.
  14. And I testify again to every man who has himself circumcised, that he is obligated to keep the whole Law.
  15. All who want to make a good showing in the flesh try to compel you to be circumcised, simply so that they will not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.
  16. For those who are circumcised do not even keep the Law themselves, but they want to have you circumcised so that they may boast in your flesh.
