  10. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
  11. And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
  12. For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
  13. But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.
  14. All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
  15. But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
  16. When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.
  17. And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
  18. And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
  19. And king Herod heard of him; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
  20. For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
  21. And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.
  22. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

  24. And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
  25. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
