  111. But rise and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you,
  112. For this is what the promise said: “About this time next year I will return, and Sarah shall have a son.”

  120. I know that when I come to you I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.
  121. For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.”

  131. Plans for Travel

I will visit you after passing through Macedonia, for I intend to pass through Macedonia,

  133. But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost,
  134. What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
  135. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you,
  136. and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”

  139. If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness.
  140. Paul's Visions and His Thorn

I must go on boasting. Though there is nothing to be gained by it, I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord.
  141. On behalf of this man I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except of my weaknesses—
  142. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
  143. Here for the third time I am ready to come to you. And I will not be a burden, for I seek not what is yours but you. For children are not obligated to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.
  144. I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more, am I to be loved less?
  145. I warned those who sinned before and all the others, and I warn them now while absent, as I did when present on my second visit, that if I come again I will not spare them—
  146. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice.

    To Live Is Christ

    Yes, and I will rejoice,
  147. as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death.
  148. Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith,
  149. Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.
  150. I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it—to say nothing of your owing me even your own self.
  151. At the same time, prepare a guest room for me, for I am hoping that through your prayers I will be graciously given to you.
  152. For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son, today I have begotten you”? Or again, “I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son”?
  153. saying, “I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise.”
  154. And again, “I will put my trust in him.” And again, “Behold, I and the children God has given me.”
  155. saying, “Surely I will bless you and multiply you.”
  156. For he finds fault with them when he says: “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,
  157. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
  158. For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.”
  159. “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,”
  160. then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”
  161. For we know him who said, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge his people.”
  162. At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”
  163. Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
  164. So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”
  165. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
  166. And I will make every effort so that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things.
  167. So if I come, I will bring up what he is doing, talking wicked nonsense against us. And not content with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers, and also stops those who want to and puts them out of the church.
  168. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.
  169. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’
  170. Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.
  171. Therefore repent. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth.
  172. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, with a new name written on the stone that no one knows except the one who receives it.’
  173. Behold, I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works,
  174. and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you according to your works.
  175. The one who conquers and who keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations,
  176. And I will give him the morning star.
  177. Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you.
  178. The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.
  179. Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you.
  180. Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.
  181. The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name.
  182. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
  183. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
  184. The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.
  185. The Throne in Heaven

After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”
  186. And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.”
  187. The Great Prostitute and the Beast

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters,
  188. But the angel said to me, “Why do you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast with seven heads and ten horns that carries her.
  189. And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.
  190. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.
  191. The New Jerusalem

Then came one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues and spoke to me, saying, “Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
