    While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.

  13. And he said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they had found out, they said, “Five, and two fish.”
  14. And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing and broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the people. And he divided the two fish among them all.
  15. And they took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish.
  16. And they had a few small fish. And having blessed them, he said that these also should be set before them.
  17. and he saw two boats by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets.
  18. And when they had done this, they enclosed a large number of fish, and their nets were breaking.
  19. For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish that they had taken,
  20. But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.” They said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish—unless we are to go and buy food for all these people.”
  21. And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing over them. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd.
  22. What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent;
  23. They gave him a piece of broiled fish,
  24. “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?”
  25. Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted.
