  145. knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation.
  146. For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.
  147. knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires.
