  92. But when they had stretched him out for the whips, Paul said to the centurion who was standing by, “Is it lawful for you to flog a man who is a Roman citizen and uncondemned?”
  93. because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
  94. So, if a man who is uncircumcised keeps the precepts of the law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision?
  95. Then he who is physically uncircumcised but keeps the law will condemn you who have the written code and circumcision but break the law.
  96. For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical.
  97. That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring—not only to the adherent of the law but also to the one who shares the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,
  98. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.
  99. To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.
  100. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval,
  101. Do Not Pass Judgment on One Another

    As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions.

  135. Warning Against Idleness

    Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from any brother who is walking in idleness and not in accord with the tradition that you received from us.
  136. For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.
  137. She who is truly a widow, left all alone, has set her hope on God and continues in supplications and prayers night and day,
  138. but she who is self-indulgent is dead even while she lives.

    I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:

  142. Jesus, High Priest of a Better Covenant

    Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,
