  1. And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.”

  15. He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
  16. So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart.”
  17. And he said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.”
  18. Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
  19. And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.
  20. And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
  21. Jesus answered them, “I also will ask you one question, and if you tell me the answer, then I also will tell you by what authority I do these things.
  22. But Jesus remained silent. And the high priest said to him, “I adjure you by the living God, tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.”
  23. and saying, “You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.”
  24. Jesus Cleanses a Leper

    And a leper came to him, imploring him, and kneeling said to him, “If you will, you can make me clean.”
  25. And it has often cast him into fire and into water, to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
  26. And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.”
  27. And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

  31. Jesus Cleanses a Leper

    While he was in one of the cities, there came a man full of leprosy. And when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and begged him, “Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.”
  32. If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
  33. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
  34. And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount.
  35. If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
  36. And if you have not been faithful in that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own?
  37. And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
  38. saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
  39. If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them, “If I tell you, you will not believe,
  40. and saying, “If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!”
  41. They asked him, “Then why are you baptizing, if you are neither the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”
  42. Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”
  43. For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me.
  44. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?”
  45. Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
  46. For no one works in secret if he seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, show yourself to the world.”
  47. They said to him therefore, “Where is your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”
  48. The Truth Will Set You Free

    So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples,

  59. Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

  61. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

  76. Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?
  77. For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
  78. because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
  79. do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you.
  80. For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree.
  81. for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.
  82. For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?
  83. So if you have such cases, why do you lay them before those who have no standing in the church?
  84. Were you a bondservant when called? Do not be concerned about it. (But if you can gain your freedom, avail yourself of the opportunity.)
  85. But if you do marry, you have not sinned, and if a betrothed woman marries, she has not sinned. Yet those who marry will have worldly troubles, and I would spare you that.
  86. Otherwise, if you give thanks with your spirit, how can anyone in the position of an outsider say “Amen” to your thanksgiving when he does not know what you are saying?
  87. and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
  88. For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.
  89. Paul's Sufferings as an Apostle

    I repeat, let no one think me foolish. But even if you do, accept me as a fool, so that I too may boast a little.
  90. But when I saw that their conduct was not in step with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all, “If you, though a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force the Gentiles to live like Jews?”
  91. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise.

  97. A Good Servant of Christ Jesus

    If you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed.
  98. So if you consider me your partner, receive him as you would receive me.
  99. A Rest for the People of God

    Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, “Today, if you hear his voice,
  100. As it is said, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”
  101. again he appoints a certain day, “Today,” saying through David so long afterward, in the words already quoted, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”
  102. If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.
  103. and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, “You sit here in a good place,” while you say to the poor man, “You stand over there,” or, “Sit down at my feet,”
  104. If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well.
  105. But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
  106. For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.
  107. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth.
  108. Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.
  109. And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one's deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile,
  110. as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you are her children, if you do good and do not fear anything that is frightening.
  111. Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good?
  112. But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled,
  113. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.
  114. Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall.
  115. If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.
  116. Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you.
