O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified.
  212. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you shall all the nations be blessed.”
  213. Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.”
  214. Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed.
  215. envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
  216. even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love
  217. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
  218. Prayer for Spiritual Strength

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
  219. because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel,
  220. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
  221. he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him,
  222. remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
  223. For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you?
  224. For when we were with you, we kept telling you beforehand that we were to suffer affliction, just as it has come to pass, and just as you know.
  225. For what thanksgiving can we return to God for you, for all the joy that we feel for your sake before our God,
  226. so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.
  227. that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you.
  228. so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.
  229. I put you under oath before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers.
  230. A Good Servant of Christ Jesus

If you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed.
  231. The sins of some people are conspicuous, going before them to judgment, but the sins of others appear later.
  232. I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession,
  233. who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began,
  234. A Worker Approved by God

Remind them of these things, and charge them before God not to quarrel about words, which does no good, but only ruins the hearers.
  235. Do your best to come before winter. Eubulus sends greetings to you, as do Pudens and Linus and Claudia and all the brothers.
  236. in hope of eternal life, which God, who never lies, promised before the ages began
  237. so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.
  238. By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God.
  239. Jesus, Founder and Perfecter of Our Faith

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
  240. looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
  241. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
  242. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
  243. He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you
  244. whereas angels, though greater in might and power, do not pronounce a blasphemous judgment against them before the Lord.
  245. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability.
  246. By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him;
  247. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God;
  248. who testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their journey in a manner worthy of God.
  249. Doxology

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy,
  250. to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
  251. Greeting to the Seven Churches

John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne,
  252. But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and practice sexual immorality.
  253. The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.
  254. “‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.
  255. Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you.
  256. From the throne came flashes of lightning, and rumblings and peals of thunder, and before the throne were burning seven torches of fire, which are the seven spirits of God,
  257. and before the throne there was as it were a sea of glass, like crystal. And around the throne, on each side of the throne, are four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind:
  258. the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
  259. And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
  260. They cried out with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”
  261. A Great Multitude from Every Nation

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
  262. And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,
  263. “Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.
  264. Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.
  265. And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer, and he was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne,
  266. and the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel.
  267. Then the sixth angel blew his trumpet, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar before God,
  268. These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.
  269. And the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God,
  270. His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she bore her child he might devour it.
  271. And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.
  272. and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.
  273. and they were singing a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and before the elders. No one could learn that song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.
  274. Judgment Before the Great White Throne

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.
  275. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done.
