  21. The Unbelief of the People

    But despite all the miraculous signs Jesus had done, most of the people still did not believe in him.
  22. Many people did believe in him, however, including some of the Jewish leaders. But they wouldn’t admit it for fear that the Pharisees would expel them from the synagogue.
  23. But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.
  24. He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name.”
  25. Everyone who believes in him is made right in God’s sight—something the law of Moses could never do.
