  1. Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah.

  9. All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
  10. News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them.
  11. “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
  12. But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne;
  13. All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
  14. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
  15. For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
  16. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
  17. How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
  18. When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.
  19. Those tending the pigs ran off, went into the town and reported all this, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men.
  20. News of this spread through all that region.
  21. But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region.
  22. The Workers Are Few

    Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.
  23. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
  24. For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John.
  25. All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
