  1. Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

  13. No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
  14. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
  15. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
  16. And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
  17. But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
  18. How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
  19. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
  20. Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
  21. But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
  22. For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
  23. And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
  24. Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
  25. And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
  26. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
  27. Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
  28. And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

  33. Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
  34. And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.
  35. They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
  36. Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
  37. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
  38. But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
  39. I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
  40. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
  41. And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.
  42. And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.
  43. But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
  44. And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.
  45. He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.
  46. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
  47. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
