  1. Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.
  2. Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

    “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

  12. Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them.

  14. As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.”
  15. The Parable of the Weeds

    He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field,
  16. And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?’
  17. The Mustard Seed and the Leaven

    He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field.
  18. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”
  19. He answered, “The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.
  20. The field is the world, and the good seed is the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one,
  21. He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
  22. Most of the crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
  23. Jesus Curses the Fig Tree

    In the morning, as he was returning to the city, he became hungry.
  24. And seeing a fig tree by the wayside, he went to it and found nothing on it but only leaves. And he said to it, “May no fruit ever come from you again!” And the fig tree withered at once.
  25. When the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither at once?”
