  1. And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

  10. He replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.
  11. “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”
  12. He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’
  13. But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.”
  14. But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’
  15. If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.
  16. “At this the servant fell on his knees before him. ‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’
  17. When the other servants saw what had happened, they were outraged and went and told their master everything that had happened.
  18. Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?”
  19. Jesus replied, “Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given.
  20. Peter answered him, “We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?”
  21. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.
  22. “When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, ‘Call the workers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last ones hired and going on to the first.’
  23. For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.
  24. “Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’
  25. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.
