  11. However, two men, whose names were Eldad and Medad, had remained in the camp. They were listed among the elders, but did not go out to the tent. Yet the Spirit also rested on them, and they prophesied in the camp.
  12. How is the soil? Is it fertile or poor? Are there trees in it or not? Do your best to bring back some of the fruit of the land.” (It was the season for the first ripe grapes.)
  13. The Lord said to Moses, “How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in me, in spite of all the signs I have performed among them?
  14. How long will this wicked community grumble against me? I have heard the complaints of these grumbling Israelites.
  15. Then Moses said, “This is how you will know that the Lord has sent me to do all these things and that it was not my idea:
  16. Israel, however, put him to the sword and took over his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, but only as far as the Ammonites, because their border was fortified.
  17. How can I curse those whom God has not cursed? How can I denounce those whom the Lord has not denounced?
  18. How beautiful are your tents, Jacob, your dwelling places, Israel!
  19. The line of Korah, however, did not die out.
  20. If, however, he nullifies them some time after he hears about them, then he must bear the consequences of her wrongdoing.”
