  1. And Joshua son of Nun, the assistant of Moses, one of his chosen men, said, “My lord Moses, stop them!”

  9. So Moses did as the Lord commanded him. He took Joshua and had him stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole congregation;
  10. none except Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite and Joshua son of Nun, for they have unreservedly followed the Lord.’
  11. So Moses gave command concerning them to Eleazar the priest, to Joshua son of Nun, and to the heads of the ancestral houses of the Israelite tribes.
  12. “These are the names of the men who shall apportion the land to you for inheritance: the priest Eleazar and Joshua son of Nun.
