  7. And you shall take on the first day the fruit of splendid trees, branches of palm trees and boughs of leafy trees and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days.
  8. For six years you shall sow your field, and for six years you shall prune your vineyard and gather in its fruits,
  9. The land will yield its fruit, and you will eat your fill and dwell in it securely.
  10. then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
  11. I will turn to you and make you fruitful and multiply you and will confirm my covenant with you.
  12. then I will do this to you: I will visit you with panic, with wasting disease and fever that consume the eyes and make the heart ache. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
  13. And your strength shall be spent in vain, for your land shall not yield its increase, and the trees of the land shall not yield their fruit.
  14. “If a man dedicates to the Lord part of the land that is his possession, then the valuation shall be in proportion to its seed. A homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.
  15. “Every tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the trees, is the Lord's; it is holy to the Lord.
