  1. Ah, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity: a seed of the wicked, corrupt children: they have forsaken the Lord: they have provoked the Holy one of Israel to anger: they are gone backward.
  2. Then he that shall be left in Zion, and he that shall remain in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, and every one shall be written among the living in Jerusalem,

  9. ¶ And at that day shall the remnant of Israel and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, stay no more upon him that smote them, but shall stay upon the Lord, the Holy one of Israel in truth.
  10. Cry out, and shout, O inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy one of Israel in the midst of thee.
  11. At that day shall a man look to his maker, and his eyes shall look to the holy one of Israel.
  12. Yet her occupying and her wages shall be holy unto the Lord: it shall not be laid up nor kept in store, but her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the Lord, to eat sufficiently, and to have durable clothing.

  15. But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my Name, and sanctify the Holy one of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.
  16. Depart out of the way: go aside out of the path: cause the Holy one of Israel to cease from us.
  17. Therefore thus saith the Holy one of Israel, Because you have cast off this word, and trust in violence, and wickedness, and stay thereupon,
  18. For thus said the Lord God, the Holy one of Israel, In rest and quietness shall ye be saved: in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength, but ye would not.
  19. 1 He curseth them that forsake God, and seek for the help of men. Woe unto them that go down into Egypt for help, and stay upon horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many, and in horsemen, because they be very strong; but they look not unto the Holy one of Israel, nor seek unto the Lord.
  20. And there shall be a path and a way, and the way shall be called holy: the polluted shall not pass by it: for he shall be with them, and walk in the way, and the fools shall not err.
  21. Whom hast thou railed on and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the holy One of Israel.
  22. To whom now will ye liken me, that I should be like him, saith the Holy one?
  23. Fear not thou worm, Jacob, and ye men of Israel: I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer the holy One of Israel.
  24. Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the Lord, and shalt glory in the holy One of Israel.
  25. Therefore let them see and know, and let them consider and understand together that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and the holy One of Israel hath created it.
