Zion Corrupted; Will Be Redeemed
How the faithful city has become a prostitute, She who was full of justice! Righteousness once dwelt in her, But now murderers.

Then I will restore your judges as at first, And your counselors as at the beginning; After that you will be called the city of righteousness, A faithful city.”

Also righteousness will be the belt around His hips, And faithfulness the belt around His waist.

A throne will be established in faithfulness, And a judge will sit on it in trustworthiness in the tent of David; Moreover, he will seek justice, And be prompt in righteousness.

Song of Praise for God’s Favor
Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.

Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter, The one that remains faithful.

For Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your faithfulness.

It is the living who give thanks to You, as I do today; A father tells his sons about Your faithfulness.

A bent reed He will not break off And a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish; He will faithfully bring forth justice.

This is what the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel and its Holy One, Says to the despised One, To the One abhorred by the nation, To the Servant of rulers: “Kings will see and arise, Princes will also bow down, Because of the Lord who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel who has chosen You.”
