They will govern nations and rule over peoples, and the Lord will reign over them forever.

Give ear, you who rule over multitudes and boast of many nations.

I shall govern peoples, and nations will be subject to me;

Wisdom also, when the nations in wicked agreement had been put to confusion, recognized the righteous man and preserved him blameless before God and kept him strong in the face of his compassion for his child.

God Is Sovereign

For who will say, “What have you done?” or will resist your judgment? Who will accuse you for the destruction of nations that you made? Or who will come before you to plead as an advocate for the unrighteous?

Therefore there will be a visitation also upon the idols of the nations, because, though part of what God created, they became an abomination, stumbling blocks for human souls and a trap for the feet of the foolish.

For they thought that all the idols of the nations were gods, though these have neither the use of their eyes to see with, nor nostrils with which to draw breath, nor ears with which to hear, nor fingers to feel with, and their feet are of no use for walking.
