And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

  12. He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.
  13. Lo, mine eye hath seen all this, mine ear hath heard and understood it.
  14. Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
  15. Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.
  16. Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?
  17. Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy eyes wink at,
  18. I will shew thee, hear me; and that which I have seen I will declare;
  19. I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are ye all.
  20. For thou hast hid their heart from understanding: therefore shalt thou not exalt them.
  21. My days are past, my purposes are broken off, even the thoughts of my heart.
  22. Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry aloud, but there is no judgment.
  23. I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer.
  24. Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations.
  25. Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.
